Intro to the Albums - Kenya and Victoria Falls

My last stop on the RTW, in February 2005, was Kenya with a brief stopover at Victoria Falls on the way home. I've been to Kenya before so this wasn't your traditional safari. I spent time with friends and then did a safari from Nairobi to Mombasa which covered Amboselli, Tsavo East and West and then flew up to the beautiful island of Lamu for a week.

Victoria Falls is one of those places you hear so much about that you wonder if you will be disappointed. It was absolutely stunning and well worth the side trip. I saw it from ground level and from the air.

Intro to the Albums - Spain and Sicily

I spent December 2004 and January 2005 in Spain, the UK and Sicily. It was a quick winter visit to several cities in southern Spain covering Madrid, Seville, Granada and Barcelona. Highlights were all the fabulous galleries in Madrid, the Alhambra in Granada and Gaudi's architecture in Barcelona.

For more photos of Spain have a look at the Spain Photo Album.
My time in Sicily was mainly spent with friends and it was cold and wet for part of the time. However I did explore Catania (where I was staying) get to Taormina and finally, on my third visit to Sicily, to Etna.

For more photos of Sicily in the cold see the Sicily Photo Album.

Intro to the Albums - Peru

Peru was the third and last country I visited in South America in 2004. Highlights included Machu Picchu (of course)

The Amazon region at Boca Manu

The condors of Colca Canyon

Santa Catalina Convent in Arequipa

Islas Ballestas

and the oasis of Huacachina

I loved South America and promise myself that I will get back there one day to see as much as possible of the vast part of the continent that I haven't seen.
